You do not require any first aid certifications to enter the program. To offer first aid services with the group you must hold and maintain a valid certification through Red Cross, St. Johns or any other approved agency.
All of our members are certified in Health Care Provider (HCP) or Basic Life Support level of CPR. We try to recertify these on a yearly basis. For many of our members this includes the oxygen therapy and airway management parts modules as well
Program Levels
The Medvent / MedRover program is defined by four levels. Members advance in levels as they gain knowledge, experience, and advanced certifications.
Basic Life Support
All of our members are certified in Health Care Provider (HCP) or Basic Life Support level of CPR. We recertify these on a yearly basis. For many this includes the oxygen therapy and airway management.
Level 1
A Standard First Aid Certificate will teach you First Aid skills, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibulators (AED).
Level 2
Level 3
A First Responder Certificate will teach you how to provide patient assessment, basic life support (BLS), CPR, hemorrhage control, and care for acute and chronic conditions.
Level 4
An Emergency Medical Responder Certificate will give you advanced first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills, which are essential to carry out appropriate patient assessments, interventions, and ongoing care in the workplace or emergency scene.
We also recognize health care professional designations such as paramedics, nurses, doctors, and more.
