Why join us?

We are truly more than just a Scouting group. We are a vocational program within Scouts Canada with a focus on First Aiding skills. 

There are many reasons to join Medical Venturers or Rovers:

You aspire to pursue a medical or emergency services career

Many of our past members found that being a part of the MedVent/MedRover program helped them enter their chosen career. This includes career paths such as Fire, Police, Paramedics, nurse, or doctor.

You want skills that will actually make a difference

First aid is an essential life skill because it empowers people to take action when it matters most. Accidents and medical emergencies can happen anytime, anywhere—and knowing how to respond can mean the difference between calm and chaos, or even life and death.

You want the confidence to help others in their time of need

Confidence happens through collaboration, repetition, and experience.  Our program will provide you with all these and more, whether it’s in first aid, communication, or teamwork.

You want the volunteer hours for high school

For those who stick with the program for at least a year, you can earn your high school volunteer hours. We have members who submitted over 1,600 hours to the school!
